This typeface was inspired by Eric Gill's Perpetua and Colin Banks' revival of Gill's calligraphy sample, Gill Facia. The result is a transitional serif typeface with calligraphic flourishes that lends itself to a feminine and unconventional appearance. In honor of its femininity and defiance of convention the typeface is named after feminist poet Adrienne Rich.
